No Tombstone or Travels - Just Backyard Blooms

No tombstones and no travels today. But on a trip to the backyard with Daisy & Disco, I noticed the wonderful, reliable plumbago with its periwinkle blue blooms and decided it deserved a post. Plumbago is one of those rare flowering shrubs that can survive the heat, drought and other extreme weather of a south Texas summer and continue to look lovely. So in honor of this hardy little bloomer, here are a few photos.

As a child, I remember lurking around the plumbago trying to capture one of the elusive hummingbirds who frequently visit.
